Next month you are going on tour. Are you excited?

Yes! We are really looking for that. We haven't been playing gigs since last September and it's very nice to go back to play shows again. We haven't played in Italy yet so it's nice to go there. Italy and all those south European countries are exotic for us Northern women. We played two gigs in Spain 2007 and it was really cool. And we are really looking for to see Boss Hog which we are supporting on this tour.

Would you like to talk about your new single? Do you have any more releases planned?

There is two rock'n'roll songs Rock'n'Roll Rocket, Rayspectrometer Gal and one slower piece Haunted Heart. We recorded it last spring. We have been playing all of those songs many years in our gigs. We have been working with new album since last autumn and it's almost ready. It will be out next autumn. We've been recording different kind of songs some country tunes, 60's girlsgarage, 50's rock'n'roll, weird stuff. We all compose and write lyrics. The new record is maybe a little bit darker than the last one but there's still fast crazy rock'n'roll also on it.

Where do you get those matching outfits?

I design our outfits. I have got my own company with my man called Polkka Jam. Some parts of our outfits is second hand and some of it is handmade.

What are your current favourite bands?

Pierced Arrows, Cramps, Heavy Trash, King Khan & BBQ, Momo La Mana, Ramones, Boss Hog

How is the scene in Finland?

It's ok. One new cool name is The Lariots! Then there is The Country Dark that sounds little bit like Johnny Cash/Hank Williams with Finnish strange hillybilly touch, Jeffrey James & the Idiots are pure garage rock'n'roll. Sweatmaster is great. Cool bands like 22 Pistepirkko, Flaming Sideburns and Jolly Jumpers have made a long career and they are quite big names in Finland. Finland is little country and everybody knows each other. In Helsinki there are good record shops like Goofin' Records and we are also selling some of those great unknown garage masterpieces in our own stores in Polkka Jam in Turku and our organ player Katariina's Daiga Daiga Duu in Kuopio.

You seem to care a lot about your artwork. Who does that?

Yes, we love good designs, cartoons etc. Good artwork is important part of our thing. My man Sami Vähä-Aho is making our graphics. He has been working with us from the beginning. He's our cardriver too when we are touring and have been helping us many ways.

Do you have any crazy stories from the Micragirls?

We started to play gigs before we really knew how to play... We played 8 songs in our first gig with covers like Hanky Panky, Yam Yam Yamaha and Peanut Duck. So the beginnig was kind of wild... We got the punk attitude that we can do it by our selves.. We didn't care what other people thinks we just had fun!!! We have had really good times touring around with great bands and good people.

Anything else you'd like to add?

Best greets to you all from Finland. Rock on! It would be nice to play in Greece some day
